Responsibilities:
- Manage clinical operations such as quality of care, budget, staffing, payroll, quality improvement measures, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulation.
- Develop and implement a plan of action to improve staff development.
- Monitor staffing allocation and utilization to ensure adequate patient coverage, while identifying opportunities to save.
- Supervise HR management, employee safety programs, and risk management.
- Assume accountability for patient care at a unit level such as ensuring coordinated plan of treatment for patients, customer centric care, and cost effective use of resources.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers outside of the unit to optimize patient care across the organization.
- Research and implement the best practice methods utilized by other units.
- Investigate and resolve patient and family member concerns regarding care and treatment
Education:
- Be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a current California RN license.
- Possess current BLS certification.
- PALS certification may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience budgeting, staffing, and improving quality of care, clinical care delivery processes.
- Knowledge of the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Should be able to work as a labor management partnership.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- ALCS certification
- BSN or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
