Responsibilities:

• Manage clinical operations such as quality of care, budget, staffing, payroll, quality improvement measures, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulation.


• Develop and implement a plan of action to improve staff development.


• Monitor staffing allocation and utilization to ensure adequate patient coverage, while identifying opportunities to save.


• Supervise HR management, employee safety programs, and risk management.


• Assume accountability for patient care at a unit level such as ensuring coordinated plan of treatment for patients, customer centric care, and cost effective use of resources.


• Coordinate with healthcare providers outside of the unit to optimize patient care across the organization.


• Research and implement the best practice methods utilized by other units.


• Investigate and resolve patient and family member concerns regarding care and treatment

Education:

• Be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing.


• Hold a current California RN license.


• Possess current BLS certification.


• PALS certification may be required.

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience budgeting, staffing, and improving quality of care, clinical care delivery processes.


• Knowledge of the Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.


• Should be able to work as a labor management partnership.


• Strong interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• ALCS certification


• BSN or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field.
