And we're looking for and Associate Scientist.

Exai Bio is seeking a highly motivated associate scientist to contribute to our research and early development program in support of our next-generation liquid biopsy platform. In this role, the associate scientist will investigate the underlying biology of extracellular RNA in cancer and other areas of interest. Projects will include performing nucleic acid extraction, next-generation sequencing, and mammalian tissue culture. The candidate will be a member of a fast-paced and collaborative research lab team. The candidate will also work in collaboration with Exai Bios computational biology team to advance our knowledge of extracellular RNA biology and its clinical applications.

What Youll Do

  • Work closely with senior scientists to design, optimize and perform experiments in support of Exai Bios research program.
  • Maintain clear and detailed experimental records, independently analyze and interpret data.
  • Present at group meetings and contribute to manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals.
  • Assist in lab maintenance and in training team members.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Team

  • A BA or BS in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or related discipline with a minimum of six years of relevant hands-on experience, or an MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or related discipline with a minimum of four years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • Substantial experience in nucleic acid extraction, next-generation sequencing workflows, qPCR and mammalian tissue culture.
  • Experience in RNA biology, cell-free nucleic acid biology and/or cancer biology is a plus.
  • Experience with and commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary and collaborative team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with the exception of a medical or religious exemption
