Behavior Technician Location: US-CA-Oxnard Email this job to a friend

The role of a Behavior Technician (BT) is to provide direct intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: - Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition programs plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) as designed by a BCBA
- Maintain up to date knowledge of client(s) programming (e.g., behavior intervention plans, skill acquisition programs) and changes in programming
- Conduct preference assessments on an on-going basis
- Accurately collect data as prescribed in real-time
- Collaborate with, train, and function as liaisons with outside care providers (e.g. parents, outside agency providers, etc.) and collaborate with members of clients clinical team as needed
- Maintain dignity of client while assisting with personal care which may include nutrition, personal hygiene and supporting client to look his/her best
- Accurately complete Internal Incident Reports (IIR) and Mandated Reporting in a timely manner as applicable
- Complete all required initial and on-going staff trainings
- Adhere to ethical practices and core values of CABA
- Adhere to standards for best practices as determined by legislation, industry standards, funding sources, and CABA
- Fulfill all requirements to obtain and maintain a credential as a Registered Behavior Technician(RBT) set forth by credentialing body (i.e., BACB), industry standards, funding sources, and CABA standards
- Complete other clinical and administrative activities assigned at the discretion of CABA
Requirements - A minimum of a high school diploma pay rate dependent on level of education, credentials, and experience
- 1+ years experience implementing behavior intervention services with individuals with special needs
- Reliable means of transportation, valid CA driver's license, registration, and proof of insurance
- Must pass a TB test
- Must pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance)
