Guy Carpenter is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Morristown NJ office. This role is a hybrid based position.
We are expanding our IT Product Management team to support our Reinsurance Client Support Services. As part of this team, we have an exciting global leadership opportunity for a Product Manager. In this role, you will be crucial in defining and overseeing the delivery of technical improvements and solutions for Guy Carpenter Reinsurance Operations. Your focus will be on reducing costs and improving business processes.

What can you expect?

As the Product Manager, you will have the authority to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues, particularly within Guy Carpenter's Client Support Services and our MMC Architects. This will enable you to understand technical challenges, identify opportunities, and oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects into production.
Your responsibilities will include managing business application portfolios, defining project objectives, identifying risks, planning workloads, developing strategic application roadmaps, resolving production issues, leading meetings, and conducting application demos.
To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and convey complex information concisely. It would be best if you had a passion for technical delivery, a creative approach to problem-solving, and a keen interest in new technologies. Previous experience in IT systems transformation and solution design is essential.
While we offer hybrid working arrangements with remote options, it is essential to note that depending on the project lifecycle, there may be a need for the Product Manager to be in the office for more than three days per week.

We will count on you to:

Developing specific business-focused strategic plans to be used by IT in creating roadmaps and long-term solutions.
Working with IT architecture to ensure that strategic priorities drive value for the business.
Helping the business segment understand the effort, risk, and impact of making changes.
Understand and document business requirements and translate them to IT architects, developers, and testers.
Directing, planning, and managing tasks related to the assigned application portfolio, including stakeholder communications.
Learning and understanding all technical and non-technical aspects related to assigned projects.
Working with support teams to ensure a smooth transition when project development is completed.
Drive issue resolution, develop business knowledge, and participate in developing technical alternatives.
Responding quickly in a rapidly changing business environment.
Researching and participating in training to stay current on related issues and technologies.
Understanding security, privacy, and regulatory requirements affecting the application portfolio.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Director of Product Management will also:
Partner with the Global Client Support Services Leadership Team to set priorities and roadmaps for products.
Develop business cases for new and expanded functionality.
Determine how to onboard new user groups onto the product.
Provide input into global client support services communication strategies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the product team, procedures, and processes by identifying shortcomings, gaps, and inefficiencies.
Have coaching and development, organizational design, performance management, and financial/budget accountability.
Be a leader, mentor, and advocate for your team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting collaboration and inclusivity.
Manage vendors within the core team.


What you need to have
:
15-20 years of reinsurance operations experience.
Significant experience in reinsurance business consulting.
Considerable experience in managing large technology projects.
C-Suite level communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build engaging relationships with technical and non-technical teams.
Experience in supervising teams of both company employees and third parties.

Knowledge of project management and financials, including ROI, CapEx, OpEx, budgeting, and forecasting.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $138,300 to $276,600.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
