Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Leads development of the global platform strategy by understanding and prioritizing customer needs, and competitive dynamics to develop portfolio and business strategies for the short to longer term. Establishes the annual ASR (strategic plan) and determines annual budget. Ensures alignment of strategies to the overall business unit.
  • Financial & Commercial Success: Is responsible for the Revenue and GP of the Platform. Partners with Regions to drive success of any new product launches.
  • Value Propositions / Solutions: Develops global value propositions and solution offerings along with evidence plan needed to drive customer acceptance.
  • Talent: Leads and develops direct reports and indirect functional and regional team supporting the Platform. Continuously enhances the bench strength of the team through current associate development and new hiring opportunities to improve our capability to deliver results and support a strong succession plan.
  • Innovation: Pursues identification and selection of the most promising business opportunities for the platform. Leads the successful commercialization of platform solutions.
  • Customer Centricity: Is responsible for the overall health of the post-sale customer relationship by prioritizing the customer in all that we do as a collaborative business unit and maximizing customer value derived from our solutions while striving to elevate their overall experience.
  • Operations / Supply: Works jointly with Operations to establish short-term and long term strategies and capacity planning.
  • Embeds a focus on customer solutions and customer centricity into portfolio and resource decisions.
  • Monitors and ensures proper communication of relevant market trends, clinical practices, regulations and policy to ensure continuing strategic fit.
  • Maintains strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, professional associations, and advisory boards.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of global marketing and strategic experience leading cross-functional teams, developing global portfolio strategies and delivering results
  • Successful track record of leading and developing high performing teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to set a vision, lead change and to mentor others. Speaks up when important information or questions must be raised and takes action when issues must be addressed.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceive, develop and implement commercial strategies, convert these into tactical business plans and deliver results.
  • Strong matrix management capabilities
  • Critical thinking/analytical capability
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Strong leadership presence with ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to persuade others of the course of action, facilitate successful project implementation and effective implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
  • Strong learning agility
  • Ability to work across all global regions/functions at both an executive and tactical sales/marketing level.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time
