We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Technician to join our team at an MSP (Managed Service Provider). The Service Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to clients via phone, email, remote tools, or onsite, resolving service requests, and ensuring that client systems are functioning optimally. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, remote tools or onsite when needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, and networking equipment
  • Install and configure software and hardware for clients as needed
  • Perform system maintenance tasks, including updates and patches
  • Escalate technical issues to other teams as necessary
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive communication and exceptional customer service
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and technical requests
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and work collaboratively with the team to implement solutions
  • Assist with other operational tasks as needed

Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support or service technician role, preferably in an MSP environment
  • Excellent technical skills in hardware, software, and networking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools, such as ConnectWise, Autotask, or ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of server administration and other technical areas
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
