Title: Network Engineer

Location: South and Central Houston TX (77573 & 77401)

Duration: Fulltime

CLIENT NOTES:

Go to a client for half a day. You are the client's IT Dept, so you do whatever needs to be done. Could be desktop, could be backup, antivirus issues, strategy because they are to relocate next year, etc. Quite a variety.

They are looking for someone who has solid network exposure not just help desk background

They are only looking for individuals in South Houston or in Central Houston. They want the person to reside in these locations

SUMMARY:

A local Houston IT Service Provider is seeking an experienced network engineer to join their team providing IT Support, expertise, implementations, and guidance for clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Network Engineer, you will be exposed to many different environments allowing you to grow your skillset, receive mentorship from others as well as provide mentorship in areas of expertise and work in an environment that cares about you, your family, and your career development. You will be on call 1 weekend a year with standard office hours at client sites providing IT Support services. Additionally, you will periodically provide project delivery of implementations, migrations, or various services needed by clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work individually as well as with support from other team members and understand when to ask for help.
  • Experience providing network support and (LAN, WAN, switches, firewalls) (preferably in a small to the medium-sized organization)
  • Strong consulting and communication skills
  • Experience supporting Microsoft office 365
  • Preferred experience migrating Exchange to O365
  • Experience providing infrastructure support to the Microsoft Stack (Windows, Azure, O365)
  • Experience providing desktop troubleshooting and solutions (desktops, Windows, Apple OS, etc., printers, mobile devices, telecom)
  • Experience working with Servers, Switches, and Firewalls.
  • Experience with wireless access points and internet connectivity
