Allied is currently looking for an individual to set up and finish grind T-A insert back locations. Shift premium is available for this position.

Requirements

• Set up and run production (back locations and chamfer grinding of high-speed steel and carbide T-A blades)
• Change and calibrate jaws on chuck system
• Understand software inputs
• Manual and software adjustments
• Grinding wheels
• Change as required
• Establish truing as required
• Truing Rolls
• Inspect parts with inspection equipment
• Troubleshoot and communicate application/operation problems to department leaders, and assist in testing/problem solving.

• Observe and report all areas that need addressed.
• Maintain a high quality level as well as a high rate of efficiency.
• Work in a safe manner at all times.

• Correct reporting of job transactions.
• Record and process scrap according to procedures
• Follow inspection plan
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Use and understanding of SPC

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Working knowledge of finish grinding operation preferred
• Experience with micrometers and calipers preferred
• Good basic math skills
• Basic understanding of CNC preferred
• Detail orientated and organizational skills.
