Description:
The State of Michigan is looking for: Business Analyst 3
Top Skills & Years of Experience:
- Exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years (3+ years)
- Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years (5+ years)
- Experience leading meeting and making oral and written reports and presentations on work assignments (5+ years)
- Knowledge of System Security Standards, such as NIST, FedRAMP or SOC2 - Highly desired.
Interview Process: Virtual Interview via MS Teams video. Please use laptop and be prepared so share screen if asked. Use of headphones is strongly discouraged. A screenshot photo of candidate will be required for any Teams interviews as well as a vendor present at beginning of interview to validate candidate.
Duration: 1 year with possible extension.
Remote or On-site: Candidates MUST be local or relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays. Will need to be onsite starting day 1 for hybrid work schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION.
Seeking a Business Analyst to assist in the completion of the Michigan Department of Education's (MDE) security related documentation. This documentation includes but is not limited to:
System Security Plans (SSP)
Collaboration with the business clients, internal staff, and IT liaisons to analyze and complete the security controls (based on NIST standards). As well as the creation of supporting security and project related documents to support these controls and plans.
Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Plans
The building, testing and validation of IT Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Plans.
SUITE
The creation and maintenance of SUITE documentation that supports the system development life cycle of projects.
Hybrid work schedule: Candidates will be in the office 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and work remotely 3 days a week.
Desired Interview Dates/Times: July 12th 13th
Desired Start Date: July 24th; start date is flexible.
Skills:
  • Exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years
  • Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years

  • Experience in a professional office environment
  • Experience with MS Office to create project documentation

Pay range - $35 to $40 per hour on W2.
