Financial Services Analyst-(NEW0000006A)Description Position

As a Financial Services Supervisor at Segal, you will closely with office leadership to ensure that the Company is paid promptly for consulting work delivered to external clients by consultants and client service teams. The incumbent both oversees and participates directly in billing and collection efforts, critical to the business units profitability. The incumbent interacts with a diverse audience to include consultant and executive staff to ensure appropriate billing practices are followed and consistently occur and, to identify, recommend and implement financial processes and standards as needed to improve and maintain a high-quality billing and financial operation.
Responsibilities:
The Financial Services Supervisor provides direction to Financial Services Administrators and ensures the timely and accurate completion of work assigned to FSLs. The Manager exercises discretion, confidentiality and good judgment in the execution of all responsibilities. The primary financial unit functions that a Manager is accountable for are: producing accurate and timely accruals of revenue for multiple Business Units as assigned; generating invoices and reconciling revenue reports on a monthly basis.
Other key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Processing financial applications and procedures such as new business and fee renewals,
Assisting in the annual budgeting process,
Updating invoices,
Adjusting billing estimates and,
Adjusting all client matter information in the SL Dynamics financial system.
Reading and understanding contract language and, exercising judgment in determining how contract information should be integrated into the financial system to ensure that revenue is being accurately accrued and invoices are being prepared in accordance with contract requirements. Providing assistance, when necessary, to all functions in the business units as needed. Qualifications Key Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field, preferred; familiarity with accounting principles required
4+ years of related work experience preferably within a service-oriented environment; familiarity with broker commission statements and understanding how commissions are paid to include ability to research, analyze and summarize financial information, accounts receivable, broker commission statements and expenses
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint (Office 2016)
Proficiency in Power BI
Key traits include effective communication skills (verbal and writing), proofreading and editing skills, organized and detail-oriented, effective interpersonal and rapport building skills.
Knowledge of D365 a plus
