Who you are
We are seeking a Commercial Real Estate Sales Associate to join our growing Investment Sales team that has a strong client base and project pipeline. The team specializes in all asset classes and services the entire state of NJ. The position is based in our Woodbridge, New Jersey location. The Sales Associate is responsible for all duties related to the selling, marketing and business development of commercial real estate properties. The Sales Associates primary objective is to proactively identify business opportunities and establish relationships in order to generate business, while successfully implementing and managing the marketing of awarded business.
What you bring
Licensed Real Estate practitioner with the State of New Jersey (or in process of obtaining).
Bachelors degree required, preferred major in real estate, finance, economics or business.
2+ years related work experience with a competitor or within the industry; candidates with additional years experience will be considered and role can be catered accordingly.
Advanced understanding of the principles of selling and marketing of commercial real estate properties; a natural salesperson.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Knowledge of Costar and other research sources is desired.
Ability to deliver excellent customer service at all levels of the organization and with external partners.
Strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong relationship-building ability, proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful.
Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail.
What success looks like
Implement the marketing of new projects and assignments from start to completion; projects include writing and researching content for marketing materials (i.e. Flyers, Offering Memoranda, etc.).
Drive new business development through prospecting including networking; help to expand business through existing client relationships.
Recognize and solicit business opportunities from existing clients.
Prepare and deliver presentations to clients or prospective clients.
Assist both new and existing clients in buying or selling properties via calls and other forms of communications.
Project and transaction management.
Complete forms and reports including, but not limited to, marketing material, status reports, market reports, etc.
Help develop and maintain contacts for investor database, which includes investment objectives.
Learn and understand the commercial real estate local market, trends and owners/investors.
You will prepare and distribute presentations, reports, proposals, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other documents.
You will eventually transition to independently managing lease and/or sales transactions from start to finish.
Other duties as required.
This is a commissioned position. Consideration of a draw will be based on experience level. The official title for the position will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
