This role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives and play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the use of data to enhance business performance, mitigate risks, and foster innovation. This individual will lead a talented global team of data professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective governance, quality, and security of data assets.


Role Responsibilities

Data Strategy and Governance:
Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for data management and analytics.
Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant data regulations and industry best practices.

Data Quality and Security:
Oversee data quality initiatives and ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
Implement robust data security measures to protect sensitive information.

Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data professionals.
Collaborate with business leaders and IT teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
Foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
Recruit, develop, and mentor world-class engineering talent.

Innovation and Technology:
Identify and leverage emerging technologies to enhance data capabilities.
Solve complex issues with the team by being hands on and up on the details.
Drive innovation through the exploration of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.

Stakeholder Communication
Communicate data strategy, initiatives, and results to a non-technical audience, executive leadership and stakeholders.
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support business decision-making.


Role Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Information Management).
15+ years of experience in data management, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience as a senior leader in data management and analytics within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Expertise in data quality, security, and privacy.
Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning, and emerging technologies.

Salary

The annual gross base salary range is $227,600 -$360,000 per year, which includes a base salary, short-term and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
